Why Network Computer Pros Chose Davie, FL as Our Home

Some business decisions are made on a spreadsheet.

Others are made because a place simply feels like home.

For Network Computer Pros, Davie, Florida became more than a business location. It became the center of our company’s story, our community involvement, and the place where we built long-term relationships with businesses throughout Western Broward County.

Our office on University Drive has been our headquarters since 2005, but our connection to Davie, Cooper City, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Weston, Sunrise, Southwest Ranches, and the surrounding area goes back much further.

Network Computer Pros was founded in 2001, and while we now support businesses throughout South Florida and Middle Tennessee, our roots remain right here in Broward County.

This is the story of why we chose Davie, why we stayed, and why being part of the local community still matters to how we provide IT support today.

Our Roots in Western Broward

Maurice Israel, founder and owner of Network Computer Pros, moved to the Davie area as a young adult more than 30 years ago.

At the time, he came to work with his father in business. That experience helped shape the way he thought about customers, responsibility, service, and what it means to take care of people who trust you.

Before Network Computer Pros existed, two interests were already coming together.

A love for computers.

And a love for business.

Those two things eventually became the foundation for Network Computer Pros.

But Davie and the surrounding Western Broward area became important for another reason: family.

Maurice raised his family here. His children grew up in the Davie and Cooper City area and attended Cooper City schools. Like many local parents, the community was not just where he worked. It was where life happened.

School events.
Little League games.
Theater productions.
Youth activities.
Family routines.
Local friendships.
Community involvement.

Those experiences made the area feel personal.

That connection played a major role in where Network Computer Pros eventually chose to call home.

From a Home Office to a Growing IT Company

Network Computer Pros began in 2001.

In the beginning, it was just Maurice working from home, helping businesses and individuals with computer problems. Like many IT companies at the time, the work started with break-fix support.

Something stopped working.

A computer had an issue.

A server needed attention.

A business needed help.

Maurice would fix the problem and keep moving.

But the business grew quickly. Local companies needed dependable technology support, and word spread. It did not take long before Network Computer Pros needed additional help and more structure.

As the company grew, Maurice saw something that would eventually change the entire direction of the business.

Many business owners did not know when something serious was happening inside their network.

They did not know if backups were working.

They did not know if old systems were putting them at risk.

They did not always know when a small issue was actually a warning sign.

They were relying on technology every day, but they often had no one proactively watching over it.

That realization pushed Network Computer Pros away from simple break-fix support and toward a more proactive managed IT services model.

Why Davie Made Sense for Business and Family

Before moving the office to Davie, Network Computer Pros started in Pembroke Pines. Maurice had lived nearby, and the company’s early roots were already in Western Broward.

But as the business grew and Maurice started his family, he moved to Cooper City and began looking for a permanent home for the company.

Davie made sense for several reasons.

It was centrally located in Broward County.

It provided convenient access to clients in Davie, Cooper City, Pembroke Pines, Weston, Plantation, Sunrise, Southwest Ranches, Fort Lauderdale, and surrounding communities.

It was close to major roads and business areas.

But just as importantly, it was close to home.

When you are raising a family, location matters.

Having an office nearby made it possible to stay involved in the parts of life that matter most — school events, youth sports, performances, community activities, and family responsibilities.

In 2005, Network Computer Pros purchased a brand-new office suite on University Drive in Davie directly from the builder.

That office became our headquarters.

And we have been there ever since.

Still in the Same Davie Office Since 2005

A lot has changed since 2005.

Technology has changed.

Cybersecurity threats have changed.

Cloud services have changed.

Remote work has changed.

The way businesses use IT has changed dramatically.

But one thing has remained consistent: Network Computer Pros has continued to operate from our Davie office on University Drive.

In 2022, as the company continued growing, we expanded into the adjoining suite. Today, Network Computer Pros owns both office suites and continues to serve businesses from the same Davie location we chose nearly two decades ago.

That consistency matters to us.

We are not a company that opened a temporary location to appear local.

We are not a company that simply added Davie to a list of cities we serve.

Davie is where we built the company.

It is where our team works.

It is where many of our clients know us.

It is home.

Growing Alongside Davie and Western Broward

Western Broward looks very different today than it did when Maurice first moved to the area.

Davie, Cooper City, Pembroke Pines, Weston, Plantation, Sunrise, Southwest Ranches, and the surrounding communities have all grown significantly over the years.

Roads expanded.
Neighborhoods grew.
Schools developed.
Businesses opened.
Medical offices expanded.
Professional service firms moved west.
Families settled in.
The area became one of the strongest places in South Florida to live, work, and build a business.

Even Griffin Road looked very different years ago than it does today.

Network Computer Pros has had the opportunity to grow alongside that change.

We have watched clients expand offices, move locations, hire employees, add remote workers, upgrade systems, shift to Microsoft 365, improve cybersecurity, and modernize how they operate.

As the local business community has evolved, our role has evolved with it.

We started by fixing technology problems.

Today, we help businesses manage technology as a critical part of their operations.

What Local Businesses Taught Us About IT Support

Working with businesses throughout Broward County for more than two decades has shaped the way we think about IT.

Small and mid-sized businesses need more than someone to call when a computer breaks.

They need a team that understands how technology affects daily operations.

They need someone watching over their systems.

They need help securing data.

They need reliable backups.

They need employee support.

They need honest advice.

They need technology planning that fits their size and budget.

They need someone who can explain what is happening without hiding behind technical language.

Over the years, we realized that many businesses do not need a full internal IT department. But they do need the structure, guidance, and responsiveness of one.

That is why we often think of our role as a fractional IT department.

We manage our clients’ networks as if they were our own.

We take responsibility seriously because we know business owners are relying on us to help keep their companies running.

Supporting the Community That Has Supported Us

For more than two decades, we’ve believed that being part of the community means giving back whenever we can. Over the years, Network Computer Pros has proudly supported local youth athletics, school programs, theater and performing arts, faith-based organizations, charitable nonprofits, fundraising events, and community initiatives throughout Davie, Cooper City, Pembroke Pines, and the surrounding Broward County area.

Whether it’s sponsoring youth sports teams, supporting local schools, contributing to community fundraisers, or helping nonprofit organizations, we believe in investing in the neighborhoods where our employees, clients, friends, and families live.

Our commitment has always extended beyond technology — we’re proud to support the people and organizations that make our community a great place to live and work.

Local Presence Still Matters in IT Support

Technology has made remote support more powerful than ever.

Many issues can be resolved quickly without someone needing to drive across town. Remote monitoring, cloud management, help desk tools, Microsoft 365 administration, cybersecurity platforms, and backup systems allow us to support clients efficiently from almost anywhere.

But local presence still matters.

It matters when a business needs on-site support.

It matters when equipment has to be installed.

It matters when a company is moving offices.

It matters when a storm is coming.

It matters when a business owner wants to sit down with someone who understands the local market.

It matters when trust is built through years of service, not just a ticket number.

For businesses in Davie, Cooper City, Pembroke Pines, Weston, Plantation, Sunrise, Southwest Ranches, and nearby cities, having a local IT company means knowing your support team is not just remote and anonymous.

We are nearby.

We understand the area.

We understand South Florida business realities.

And we have been part of this community for a long time.

Supporting Broward Businesses Across Many Industries

Over the years, Network Computer Pros has supported many types of businesses throughout Davie and Western Broward.

That includes:

    • Law firms
    • CPA and accounting firms
    • Dental offices
    • Veterinary practices
    • Medical offices
    • Contractors
    • Engineering firms
    • Architecture firms
    • Nonprofit organizations
    • Professional service firms
    • Small and mid-sized private businesses

Each type of business has different technology needs.

A law firm needs secure access to confidential client files and email.

A CPA firm needs reliable systems before and during tax season.

A dental office needs workstations, imaging systems, practice management software, and secure data access.

A veterinary practice needs technology that supports scheduling, records, billing, and daily patient care.

A contractor or engineering firm may need secure access to large plans, drawings, project files, and cloud collaboration tools.

A nonprofit may need dependable IT support that protects donor data while respecting budget realities.

Supporting such a wide range of local businesses has taught us that IT support should never be one-size-fits-all.

It should fit the way the business actually works.

Hurricanes Reminded Us Why Planning Matters

In South Florida, business technology planning has to include hurricanes and severe weather.

Network Computer Pros has helped clients through many storms over the years, but one recovery still stands out.

After Hurricane Wilma, one of our pediatrician office clients suffered severe damage when the roof was ripped off the building. Computers and servers were soaked, and equipment sat in standing water.

It was the kind of situation every business hopes never happens.

But because we understood the client’s environment and could respond quickly, we were able to help recover their critical data, replace damaged equipment, and get the practice back up and running in about a week.

That experience reinforced something we still talk about today.

Backups and disaster recovery cannot be afterthoughts.

You do not want to find out whether your data can be recovered after a storm, ransomware attack, equipment failure, or accidental deletion.

You want to know before something happens.

Today, cloud backups, Microsoft 365, secure remote access, business continuity tools, and modern disaster recovery planning give businesses more options than ever before. But the principle is still the same.

Plan before the emergency.

Test before the failure.

Know what recovery looks like before your business needs it.

From Break-Fix to Managed IT Services

When Network Computer Pros started in 2001, many businesses treated IT as something they only dealt with when a problem occurred.

That was normal at the time.

But as businesses became more dependent on technology, that approach stopped making sense.

Today, a business can be seriously disrupted by:

    • Email outages
    • Microsoft 365 account compromise
    • Ransomware
    • Backup failure
    • Internet outages
    • Slow workstations
    • Poor Wi-Fi
    • Printer issues
    • Security gaps
    • Former employee access
    • Remote access problems
    • Vendor software issues
    • Lost files
    • Phishing attacks

Waiting until something breaks can be expensive, stressful, and risky.

That is why Network Computer Pros expanded its focus from break-fix support to managed IT services.

Managed IT is about prevention, planning, monitoring, support, and accountability.

It is about keeping systems running smoothly, helping employees get support, improving cybersecurity, and giving business owners better visibility into their technology.

We still fix problems.

But the larger goal is to prevent as many avoidable problems as possible.

Why Businesses Continue Choosing Network Computer Pros

Clients choose Network Computer Pros for technology support.

But they stay because of trust.

They stay because we care.

They stay because we respond quickly.

They stay because we are honest.

They stay because we explain things clearly.

They stay because we do not believe in scare tactics.

They stay because we take their business seriously.

For us, managed IT services are not just about computers, servers, firewalls, and software. They are about people trying to run their businesses without constant technology interruptions.

A business owner wants to know that someone is paying attention.

An office manager wants employees to get help quickly.

A practice manager wants systems working before patients arrive.

A managing partner wants client data protected.

A controller wants backups and access handled properly.

A nonprofit director wants dependable support without unnecessary complexity.

Our job is to make technology easier to manage, easier to trust, and less disruptive to the business.

Our Journey From Davie to Middle Tennessee

Network Computer Pros will always be rooted in South Florida, but in recent years we also expanded into Middle Tennessee.

That decision was personal and practical.

Maurice and his family had visited Tennessee many times over the years and developed a real appreciation for the state, its communities, and its quality of life.

Then one of our technicians shared that he would be moving to Tennessee.

Rather than lose a valued team member, we saw an opportunity to bring the same IT support model we built in South Florida to businesses in Middle Tennessee.

The expansion did not change who we are.

It gave us a chance to serve another community with the same values that shaped our company in Davie:

Speed.
Caring.
Honesty.
Long-term relationships.
Practical technology guidance.
A real commitment to helping businesses run better.
